| New Prospective on Gaming |
wheeness.
had a great sleep today.
slept at 6.30am.
woke up at 4pm.
played L4D and CS yesterday.
it was the first time ever i was playing those kinda games.
started with L4D and it was horrible trying to coordinate the up-down-left-right with the mouse rotation.
i sucked pretty much in L4D.
kept dying and the guys had to revive and heal me endlessly.
CS wasn't that bad.
managed to own Gabriel and his friend Kenneth solo quite a few times.
and i must say the guys didn't like that very much.
HAHAHA.
LAN gaming isn't as boring as i thought it was afterall.

| Marina Barrage |
went to marina barrage about 2days back.
loved the view.
wanted to go there a few months back in the daytime for some picnic but thank goodness i didn't. There are no shelters around the roof tops and bridge thus it would be blazing hot in the day time. Thus, i think im only going there in the night time for now. unless maybe singapore decides to adopt the 4 seasons then maybe i'd reconsider.
along the long bridge theres many of these yacht lookalikes that are actually sitting and viewing areas. i could see tons of couples hogging this area, also people gathering to play cards. weirdly enough, i see many young people about 16-17 in groups going in there at 3 in the morning.
was wondering how the hell they got there considering the fact that the place is freaking deserted and deep in marina south. if not for the car we had i wouldn't go marina barrage even if you killed me. |

so hes afraid to pick up both his phones at the moment.

2. Sorry i didn't hear (when he never puts phone silent unless in a meeting or movie?)

4. My phone flat la. I saving battery.

Guys just don't think of better excuses to get out of lying situations. They just reuse the same excuses over and over again. And use the same tactic over and over again praying i wouldn't notice and stupidly believe?

went to LaSalle for an admission interview.
well got in of course.
but now its depending on which level i get into.
fixed my laptop screen just now while i was at Sim Lim.
well actually not fixed. but changed the lcd screen.
for 230bucks.
i think its ex but some say its reasonable.
oh well.
heading to KL this weekend!

| Lost with no Directions :( |
Now that i've graduated from NYP, i've been hit with the reality of "Now What?". It's definitely frightening as for the first time in life, i have no plans... just yet. Being a perfectionist, I always had ready thoughts of the future in the next phase, till now.
A month ago, I tried applying for Bachelor in Graphic Communications from NAFA. When i reached the place of interview, I was instantly demoralized. There were fellow applicants waiting for their interview as well and they seemed to know each other. I analyized for a while more and noticed that each and every single one of them either had a MacBook or a MacBook Pro, accompanied by an A3 sized portfolio folder. While me on the other hand, just had certficates in hand and a soft copy of my portfolio. *Faints*. My hour of waiting was tremendous torture.
As i sat in the waiting area, I further realised that they are all current NAFA students. During the 1 whole hour i waited, i was the only applicant that wasn't from NAFA. I thought to myself, "What the hell was i thinking applying for this course and fighting with current NAFA students!?"
When it was my turn, i sat down with 2 interviewers. One of them,named Clarence or Terence according to the fellow applicants, asked to see my portfolio. I apologized for the fact that i brought only the soft copy and not a laptop like the rest(Stupid laptop battery cells died and can't last for more than 5mins). So Clarence/Terence went out to find a laptop while the other interviewer started asking what i did for my FYP.
To cut to the chase, i showed them barely 1/2 of the work on my portfolio when they said that my work was good but they don't think i have much experience on graphic design. Which was sadly true because the diploma i took in NYP focuses more on Multimedia rather then print media.
I asked for a frank opinion on what are my chances of getting into the course and they told me to spend a year working on graphic design and apply again next year because the Bsc in Graphic Communications was a 1-year long intensive course, and they didn't think i might be able to cope.
Thus before the letter from NAFA came yesterday, I knew i was going to get a letter of regret. And i wasn't surprised.
Who was I to fight with the other NAFA applicants? I was no match for them, considering the fact that they already had 3 intensive years of graphic design experience while i only had one module on it from poly.
I can say that choosing your diploma course after your O Levels is indeed a huge deal. I can say i do regret not reading more into details about what Dip in Multimedia & Infocomm Technology was about. I would have taken up Digital Media Design if i could rewind back to 3 years ago.
I have another interview with LaSalle on the 4th next month. And i'm still considering applying to Raffles Design Institute. But i don't know really.
To work first or to continue studying?
I'm at a crossroads. |
